Radeon VE. Different QUALITY video ouputs??

I think the video outputs are very diferent or something is wrong. I can apreciate diferent colors from one video signal to another -not a monitor issue, I've tried with both- and somewhat blurry output in DVI-VGA output. I can see very light 'artifacts' around letters. Is that normal?

I experienced a similar situation with my Radeon VE which is driving 2 15" LCD monitors. The 2nd monitor's output was not nearly as good as the first one. However, on my LCD monitors, there is a 'phase' adjustment. Making this adjustmement at the monitor level allows me to have nearly the same image quality on the 2nd monitor.

wje,

I'm about to switch from an old Sony P400 to an LCD (prob 15&quot😉...I'm currently planning to go with the Radeon VE for the DVI.

What LCD monitors are you using and are you happy with them? I'm within inches of throwing caution to the wind and going with the SGI 1600SW deal :Q, but I'd like to get a newer model if possible.

Thanks for the input,

fraz

i'm running a pair of viewsonic VP140s lcds. i didn't experience any loss of quality in the second screen, however win2k perforamnce was garbage

I'm running a pair of KDS RAD-5 LCD monitors. While the connections are analog, I'm quite happy with the output that is being produced on the screen. Also, the performance of the Radeon VE (2D wise) under Windows 2000, was quite a bit better than my ATI Rage Fury Pro.
