Does anyone know how to change the default refresh rates in OpenGL and D3D under Win2K? I've tried changing my display resolutions and upping the refreshes there, but when i play Counterstrike or Quake3 or any other game, the refresh stays at 60Hz! What a ripoff. I've tried searching all through the registry but I havnt found anything. Cmon, theres programs that do this for Nvidia cards and 3dfx cards...wheres the ATI tweakers?!
Also anyone notice that Vsync is always OFF with the Radeon? I like to enable it to get rid of image tearing, but it stays off! For instance, in counterstrike, I can see the current FPS on the screen. My monitor menu tells me that its running at 60hz, but the counterstrike fps counter jumps up to 99fps everywhere! That leads me to believe that Vsync is off even though I have it enabled. Ugh, ATI receives an F+ for driver implementation!
