Hi Copperman,
Start by running these reg keys:
REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ATI Technologies\Driver\0000\atidxhal]
"EnableWaitUntilIdxTriList2"="1"
"TableFogEnable"="1"
"WFogEnable"="0"
"ZFogEnable"="1"
"DisableHierarchicalZ"="0"
"DisableHyperZ"="0"
"FastZClearEnabled"="1"
"Vsync"="0"
"AntiAlias"="0"
"ZFormats"="15"
"ExportCompressedTex"="1"
"DitherAlpha"="1"
"ExportWBuffer"="0"
Gives a great balance of speed and stability.

I see you've come out of your shell and progressed from the guttural "oh" you usually say.

Well no matter tweaks you have especially default you shouldn't be getting 20fps!! Are your drivers installed correctly? Also what resolution are you playing it?

edit: well maybe if you were in the center of 5 smoke grenades because the radeon sucks at drawing fog but other than that...

I am playing at 800 by 600
I let the program load the drivers and the drivers are the newest one...

it is weird.

Are you playing in D3D or OpenGL? OpenGL is what you should be using. BTW, those reg tweaks that TAZ posted are only for D3D. They have no effect on OpenGL games.

I have the same card, but only when I sit in the middle of a smoke nade does my fps drop to like 38 or so. Is there anything I can do about this? I normally run it at 1024x768 and get fps at about 72, but it drops dramatically in the smoke nade.
