Anyone heard anything about the difference between an oem and retail 64md ddr radeon as far as core/memory clock? I recall something like 166 core/memory oem and 183 retail.

Don't worry too much about stock speed, most people with the 166/166 can overclock to 195/195 or 200/200 easily

i have my 64meg ddr oem running at 200/200 without any problem...at 205 i get some artifacts on black backgrounds but it still runs fine.

my radeon 64 oem is at 166 speed.... and i get random lockups (especially in the radeon demo)
if i get higher than this and i cant even get to 183!!
i dont get artifacts unless i go higher than 196 mhz but these lockups (sometimes windows still alive in the background) are always there.
i have an athlon 700 + a7v and these beta 3060 drivers (could it be those drivers??)
does someone know which bios settings i may use (or which not)??

i remember about a year and a half ago when the rage128 from ati came out. You could get it running at 90/90, 75/75 , 103/103, or 100/110. Reactorcritical had the bioses for them all and you could just flash to whatever one you wanted and it worked. What was odd was if you used an overclocking utility to take a 75/75 one to 100/110 it wouldn't work, the memory would corrupt, so i figured the bios flash would change the memory timings. I'm assuming that maybe these radeons are the same. I know ATI didnt put heatsinks on the 75/75 and 90/90 rage128s, but for some reason i think its still the same for the radeon.
