Radeon new drivers - Rogue Spear & Operation Flashpoint?

New drivers for both Win98-ME and Win2k are available via rage3d.com

Anything after 7075 for 98 has been broken for Rogue Spear (see-through textures) and I have heard of similar problems with Operation Flashpoint. I am not sure about the versions for W2k but I know the later ones exhibit the same problem too.

So, has anyone been brave enough to try 'em out? I have given up on installing later drivers until I hear the problem is finally fixed. The later drivers have improved quality and some other fixes like white brightness which I am looking forward to but will not give up RS for 'em.

Hmm it seems for the most part people are saying they are slightly better and worth the upgrade (for the win2k ones anyway). I'll probably try them tomorrow.

edit: And again, as with every new driver release, a few people on Rage3d say the 2d quality is better. I'm not saying they're lying, but damn everytime they say it gets better and I've NEVER noticed a difference in 2d quality with any release. And can drivers really make 2d quality better? I don't think so...
