radeon mobility x600

Can anyone compare the x600 128MB to such as the nvidia go5700 128mb? I plan on buying a gaming laptop, in which i can get a very good price for one with an x600 128MB.

Does anyone have that card in their lappy currently?

If not, ill have to empty out my pockets for a go6800 or x800 alienware.

x600 is basically a pci-e version of the ati m9600 which, if memory serves performs better(but not by much) than a 5700go

What about the possibility of upgrading to the x800 when i need it. Doesn't pci-e allow upgradeablility? Or is it manufacturer determined as well?

This is the HP zd8000 im looking at with the x600.

i'd contact customer support and ask them directly if the one you are looking at has that kind of upgrade ability
