Two things the Radeon has twice the memory. And the old Geforce isnt that good for dircetx 9 support. But if price isnt and issue because for zd7000 you can get P4 E.E which is 3.4 ghz while the zd8000 only has regular P4 at 3.2 ghz

200mhz isn't anything to write home about really. Are you planning on gaming on this? I think if you have to choose between them, probably I'd choose the x600. The geforce5 series weren't that great. The x600 isn't super, but it's still probably better than the 5700.

Yeah, im looking for a gaming mobile machine. I get discounts from HP since my father works there, but since the new alienware laptop has the new nvidea 6 series, its a decision between power and price. I'm hoping to get a laptop that will last a while in the gaming department.

I also heard that with HP you can't upgrade the graphics GPU, but with an alienware you can.

If you were in my position, would you go for the alienware or the not-so-cheeper HP (they give crappy discounts to employees)?
