I was wondering when this part was going to see more widespread distribution. I'm thinking of waiting to buy a new laptop until I can get a decently priced machine with this part - the Dells that have it are way too expensive - but I'm interested in how long I'd have to wait. I'm primarily interested in when the generics are going to start featuring this (The Chembooks and Sagers of the world...) as they're more likely to have affordable configurations featuring this.

Any info available?

Yeah, I wanted to know about that too. I have a Sager 8790, and i wanted to upgrade my 9700 to a 9800. However I heard altough it is a seperate video card, it is still "intergrated". Anyone know if that is true?

No. It was only upgradeable because Dell created their 9700/9800 with the same layout... but that doesn't necessariliy mean other manufacturers will... and infact, they probably didn't. Of course with the new PCI-E, the theory is that manufactuers will, and you will be able to upgrade GPU.
