Radeon Mobility 9000 Memory (64MB vs. 128MB)

I've been looking all over for benchmarks comparing the 64MB and 128MB models of the Radeon Mobility 9000 in various games, and I've got nothing. ATI's website doesn't even acknowledge the existence of the 128 MB, much less advertise higher performance on it. Some laptop dealers, such as Alienware, sell only the 128 MB version, while others, such as PowerNotebooks, charge a couple hundred extra for it. So riddle me this: Does the 128 MB run at a higher clock speed, or is it really just the same card with twice the memory? And if the difference is just memory, why does it seem to cost twice as much as its little brother? Finally, does anyone need 128 MB for games? Isn't 64 MB still enough to run the latest games at the highest resolutions with the best quality, or can you show me a benchmark to the contrary? I know the 9600 is just around the corner, but this is irking me.

I can't help you with the Mobility 9000 clock speed question, but here is a review that showed the 64mb and 128mb desktop Radeon 9000's side by side, and there wasn't any performance difference to speak of. I can only assume that if the clock speeds are the same for the 64mb and 128mb M9000's, then the same rule should apply.
