I'm trying to use the S-Video out on my IBM ThinkPad T40, which has a Radeon Mobility 7500 32MB inside. I've got the latest drivers from IBM for it.
When I enable the TV-out, the picture quality on the TV is atrocious. There are weird red lines everywhere, text is blurry and each line seems to be somewhat off. It's unreadable.
I've tried playing with every setting at my disposal in the driver, when I switch the "S-Video Sharpness" to "Black and White" the picture quality is crystal clear -- but there is no color.
Now, I've actually got this connected to my TV with an S-Video -> Standard(yellow?) video cable. But I'm pretty sure it's not the cable's problem, I use the exact same cable and adapter on my PC's GeForce 3 and the picture quality is perfect on the very same TV.
Do I just have a bad chip or something?
