What do you guys think

I am assuming the LE will hit 190 since the last 2 have

And the GTS will hit normal speeds...What do you think

The GTS-V will beat a DDR Radeon (LE) in gaming, that's a given. Just depends on what you want.

I have a gts and a le, the le lags like hell! i rather sell the le n save up for a gf3 ti200. the gts v may have problems but it's nvidia, has superior support in drivers n refresh rate fixes n tweakers! BTW my le is hyperz enabled n tweaked to the max all the way to a norm radeon ddr.

what u mean by "lags like hell!"? I dont notice any lagging for me in games i play (CS, Tribes 2 [low frames though], Tribes, Unreal Tournament).

As for LE or GTS, depends on what you want. I do a lot of 2d work at 1280x1024 and 1600x1200 so i need the higher quality 2d of the Radeon so i'd get the Radeon, but if it's for a gaming system, i'd get the GeForce 2 GTS.

As for "superior support" of nVidia, i'd say the radeon's support is top notch. Drivers work 100%, stability is not a question, and problems are niltch.

That Newegg Visiontek GF2 32mb for $65.00 is hard to beat. Some claim the 2d is the best of the GF2 bunch. It will easily trounce the Radeon/LE 32mb. If I was after a decent gamming card for under $70.00, that would be it.

I love my Radeon DDR. Looks good, seems to play everthing 1024x768 32bit fast enough. If Ihave to drop it back to a lower res. it still looks good.

Tough decision, the RadeonLE has slightly more features, but the GTS-V has nVidia's proven driver support.
Both should perform reasonably close to each other, though the GTS-V will have the edge.
On the other hand, the Radeon LE has the slightly better 2D visual quality, and better DVD acceleration.

Personally I'd probably prefer the Radeon LE as it's a more well rounded solution, and driver issues shouldnt be too mu8ch of a problem as the drivers for the classic Radeon have had plenty of time to mature.

Some other things to consider with the Newegg GTS is that it does come with cooling, and though the ram is 7ns that they are clocking it well above its rated speed.

I was under the impression that the GTS-V cards were a lot slower than the radeon. I take it this is inaccurate?

I'm pretty sure I remember all the stuff I saw saying the LE will perform just like a DDR Radeon once tweaked, which should be about the same as a regular GTS Pro, right? And isn't the GTS-V way slower than a GTS Pro???

jfunk, and anyone else wondering about the performance between the LE, Retail DDR, GTS, and KyroII as well. Anand did an article on the LE, and it is a very good read as it encompasses all of these cards and a few more.

Keep in mind that probably all cards are a little bit faster due to newer drivers since this article was released.

Yeah, I just went back and read that article again.

I guess my question now is how does a GTS-V perform compared to a regular GTS??
