Is this worth the upgrade? Right now I have an LE w/TV-out clocked at 183 for both memory+core. I couldn't find any benchmarks comparing the two cards. BTW, I got the card as a Newegg refurb, I think it might be one of those unfortunate "powered by ATI" OEMs with slower memory (won't know until it arrives). I might just sell the 7500 if there isn't a big difference.

Hi yellowperil,
Please let me know how the 7500 does compared to the LE. I am looking to do the exact same upgrade that you have(LE>7500) also if you decide to sell, please PM me, I may be interested!!!

I score 27xx 3dmark2K1 with my LE...my rig isnt nearly as fast as yours (1.2ghz Duron, KT133 chipset).

Thanks,
Chuck

There are plenty of benchmarks showing the 7500 to the original radeon cards, maybe not the LE, but you can find it for the regular DDR cards, and since you can OC the LE to a normal DDR speed, its easy to figure out the performance increase. It should be quite large, 40%, maybe more.

I had an origional Radeon retail clocked at 183/183 and in the system I had would do 79fps Q3 time demo 1. With the 7500 clocked at 290/230 same settings/system: 114fps. Radeon 7500 clocked 300/279 same settings:118fps.
With my DDR system Radeon 7500 @300/279: 126fps

3DMark2001: Radeon DDR/ 3250
Radeon 7500/ 4850
On my current system 7500/ 5320

The up-grade is worth it.
