Radeon LE locks up in CS under Open GL

I picked up this video card and the thing locks up in Counter strike after about 20 seconds under Open GL. I added a fan to the heat sink and underclocked the chip and memory to 120Mhz and no luck.
Running windows 98.
7075 drivers.
Suggestions?
 
I figured it out. I took out my sound card and I can play CS all day. I have a Diamond MX400. I am using the VIA apollo pro chip set and that most likely is it. I installed the latest 4in1 drivers but i may need to find some older ones.
 
I had the exact same problem, I have a geforce 2 and a mx 300. Once i found out it was the sound card I looked for different drivers for the sound card and it finally worked, after 2 days of hell. What kind of chipset is the mx400? Try to find some reference drivers for it and use the new drivers.
