Radeon LE is from ATI !

i just read a article from taiwan, it states that Radeon le is made and packed by ati. it has all the support and full 5 year warrently from ati

the graphic chip is printed without the ati logo because ati wants to identify the differences from the original Radeon.

but due to the confusion on the market, ati decided all the radeon le will print with ati logo after mach 1.

in addition, it also states that the radeon le's core is the same as the original radeon except their core speed.

source from http://www.amitech.com.twwww.amitech.com.tw, the Radeon le's post the Radeon le post, the Radeon le's spec. page(sorry, but they're in chinese) radeon le's spec. page

I found a mention of the LE on their site when I was searching for linux drivers. It's a low cost verson intended for the asian market.

reactorcritical said that there are "real" LEs selling in China...but they aren't in America, so if you bought one, it's probably not supportedy by ATI (in the US anyway).

Retail LE's are made by ATI
OEM LE's are not ATi products.

also i beleive the LE cores are original Radeons that didnt make it.

I was at comp usa this weekend and seem an ati 32meg ddr le in an ati box for 129.00 I think Jaypatel is right if its retail then its made and supported by ati.The box was totally ati.

Here it is.

<< RADEON LE is an entry level member of the RADEON family that is being offered specifically for the Chinese market by Althon Micro and AMI Technologies Corp, ATI strategic partners >>
