Hi,

According to Radeon™ HD 7970 AMD specs, you can run these in quad-setup, with each card supporting up to 6 LCDs.

Does that mean, if you had 4 of these you can run 24 LCDs?

Would you require any other hardware to support this? Anyone know of a motherboard that can run these in quad setup?

Thanks.

This was doable with 5870 E6 cards. Was done before that with special hardware, matrox cards and Linux too with Quake3Arena.

With 7970's you have to use displayports and daisy-chain 3 displays from each mini-dp per card. Be careful if you plan on going that route, Quad-fire with 24-display Eyefinity might be hit or miss with drivers - just a hunch. ;P
