Radeon HD 7870 with Corsair CX430 V2?

Hey guys, just two days back I bought new PC with the following config:

Intel Core i3 3220
Gigabyte GA-B75M
Corsair CXV2 430 Watts
Corsair Vengeance 4GB 1600MHz Ram
Hitachi 500GB 7200RPM 3.0 GBPS HDD
Cooler Master Elite 350 cabinet
Samsung 20inch LED monitor with 1600x900 max resolution
LG DVD writer

I wont be adding any other components other than another corsair vengeance ram which i will add in 3-4 months time. Also the 7870 requires 2x6 pin power connectors but my PSU has only one 6 pin power connector but some people are suggesting that a 7870 can be used with my PSU.

So can I use a 7870 with my config without any problems or should I go with a GTX 660?
Also will the i3 3220 bottleneck the 7870 at 1600x900?

The 7870 I have in one of my rigs recommends a minimum PSU of 500 watts.

a 7870 will run fine off a 430w PSU.

I've run TWO 7850s off a 550w before with 45a without issue.

i live in india so i have to buy locally only and i am going for the cheapest variant of the cards available here

Sapphire 7870 non-flex edition for 16500 (303 USD)

My budget is 16500 INR(303 USD), so which one should i go for ?

Get the HD 7870. its clearly a much faster card than GTX 660. the HD 7870 easily keeps up with the GTX 660 Ti in majority of the titles.

The performance gap with GTX 660 increases with overclocking. the 256 bit memory and 32 bit ROPs on HD 7870 scale performance much better compared to the GTX 660 with 192 bit memory and 24 ROPs.

also the GTX 660 has strict power target restrictions and so OC headroom is reduced.

The 7870 is faster, but it's not 10% faster, not at 1600x900 anyway.

I'd get the Gigabyte 660.

And the 660 will overclock reasonably, techpowerup has the Gigabyte down with a 10.5% overclock which is practically identical to the latest 7870 review they have which achieved a 10.8% overclock. The 660 just overclocks in a different way to other cards, power target is not the be all and end all.

Here you can see that the 660 and the (regular) 7870 are almost indistinguishable at 1080p. The difference does become apparent at 1600p, but at 1600x900 the difference will be totally unnoticeable.

I have the Gigabyte 7870 OC version with the 1100 clock rate. Outstanding card.

hey guys just bought a Gigabyte GTX 660 OC version cause the sapphire version of 7870 was not available and other 7870's were way out of my budget..installed it and it is working fine..

so my question is can i overclock GTX 660 with my power supply with the gigabyte oc guru 2 software? i will do it if only it is required...

At your resolution and with your CPU I wouldn't bother OC'ing it

You can overclock but there is probably no need.
Give it a go at factory clocks and only overclock if you feel you need it.

I am running a 7870 Sapphire OC, FX6300, 16GB DDR3-1866 and 7200 RPM drive on a 500W Raidmax PSU that was almost free after rebate.
No crashes or explosions so far.

lol Sorry, I know...I'm a noob... just comparing wii u's games to Pc games graphical wise. I know its a blow out, but was just wondering what type of power the wii u can sustain.
