Hello everyone,
this is my first post on the forum,
I'm about to upgrade my GPU, i'm going for a Sapphire HD 7850 or a HD 7870, but i've noticed that theese exact models have some serious problems, here

So i've been wondering if these problems had been fixed yet? did the manufacturers replace all the affected models on the market?

thanks in advance .

Is this a wind up?

Did you even read the article you linked to? I'm sorry if this seems abrasive but every question you have asked has been answered in that article.

In case you missed it from the article. The following manufacturers are not affected.

Asus
HIS cards beginning with H1206
MSI said their cards manufactured after June 2012.

Any times I have purchased a DOA card the supplier has given a full refund and even reimbursed the cost of postage. My advice is to purchase an Asus one and stop worrying.

you obviously didn't get me right 😛 i said i was going for a SAPPHIRE .. i'm asking about the sapphire brand, have they fixed the problem for good or not? plus i only wanted to make sure that's all
thanks for the reply though

Actually if you'd read; Sapphire had recalled effected cards.......if by some small chance you got one.....

They will quickly replace it no ifs; ands or buts......

and seeing how that's stock from before June of last year.......I'd say the chances of actually get a card possibly effected by something that only effected at most 2% of the cards going out..........

its roughly .00000743% as you'd have to buy from a retailer that does actually sell cards at all.......😉 or only a couple ever 8 months....

There are still defective cards in the market. I wouldn't go for a Sapphire card if the RMA system in your country lacks somehow.
