Radeon HD 6990 Bottleneck

That CPU is fairly new, but if you have anything limiting the performance it will be the PCI Express 2.0 that MOST AM3+ motherboards have. PCI Express 2.0 to 3.0 is not much of a difference until Crossfire or in this case possibly 6990. ASUS somewhat recently released Sabertooth 990FX/Gen3. I would just try to give it all the bandwidth I could!

Is not good, but you can go. Put the 6300 at 4.8Ghz if you sense great bottleneck(it will happen when you see huge instability in FPS or massive FPS drops on moderate action scenes).
