Radeon HD 6670 GPU...Is it good enough?

The 6670 is an entry level card with 480SPs and 128-bit memory
It will be faster than your current video card and slightly faster than the current APU integrated graphics.

if you can step up to either of the following you'd get better performance:
7750
7770
7790
7850 (256-bit memory)

It's hard to define "good enough" without knowing what you plan on doing with the card and how much money you want to spend.

Soulkeeper is correct, we need to know what games you wish to play, at what resolution, and what image quality you are willing to accept in order to know what is "good enough". The card you are looking at is a GDDR5 which is good, because it is faster than the probably more common ddr3 version. You will be limited to low resolution and low to med settings in modern graphically intense games.

I would suggest a 7750 or 7770. Both are faster than the 6670 and dont use a lot of power. Unfortunately you are going to be cpu limited in some games as well, but I think that cpu could utiize a 7750 or 7770 fairly well.

I generally agree with the above comments. 6670 was one of the better budget cards like a year or so ago, but there are better options for the "light gamer" now; The radeon 7750 and 7770 come to mind and could be had for ~$100, and would give you better performance around the price range. But there are still really the bare bone minimun you should have for gaming.

If you do have the budget and have the desire to play at higher resolutions, go for an amd radeon 7850 (2gb) or an nvidia 650ti boost, both great cards for $160-180 that will be better off handling newer titles at better settings and some eye candy.

Thanks for your reply everyone.
I am currently playing at 1366 x 768 resolution and I am facing issues with mf3 and la noire. There is very low frame rate with settings at low. With the games like GTA 5 scheduled this year, I was thinking to boost up my graphics a bit.

My budget is very limited to 5500 INR and I am planning to buy from this site.

I checked the 7750 and other they are priced above 7000 INR, a bit out of my budget.
If anyone could suggest me some other graphics at this range otherwise I have to go with 6670.

With that CPU investing in much more doesnt make any sense anyway. But it is worse than lower entry level today. Can't play games of recent years with that setup,

If even the 7750 is out of your budget, then the radeon 6670 is the next best thing. Nvidia has nothing worth buying under $100 (not fanboyism here, just fact). Your setup could use some upgrade like a new cpu as well, but if you are just looking to pop in a new video card for the time being, the 6670 in your case is the only logical choice. Hope this helps.

EDIT: As people have said above, if you go with the 6670, make sure it is the faster GDDR5 version, NOT GDDR3.

Thanks for your response. I'll go for 6670 with 1 GB gddr5. Lets see what radeon got.

Personally I say save up longer. Not sure GTA5 is going to run well on a 6670, even at your lower resolution. If you can, try and save up for a 7750, as it would be a pretty decent improvement over the 6670. Andis the fastest card to not require external power.
