It's a Foxconn 785g AM3.

Open a chat with the Egg and tell them you wish to purchase the Sapphire Radeon HD 5770 (Juniper XT) 1GB with a postal money order - they will tell you what to do. You need to hustle because you must purchase before 8/15/2010 to be eligible for the rebate.

Go to the post office, snag the MO and mail it in with the NewEgg ticket.

Be patient ---- you got a nice rig.

It runs no hotter and consumes no more power then a gtx470 and for 270$ people seem to think the gtx 470 is a good deal? Well it's 65$ less then a gtx470, so why isn't it a good deal now? Performance is just a notch below a 5850 now with the latest drivers as seen in the Anandtech gtx 460 review.

Same goes for the 5830 @ 200$ (people said its a good deal) but the 5830 is a good bit slower then the gtx465 now.

Saying it's no hotter that GTX 470 doesn't win your argument, due to the fact that the 470 is a hot power sucking card also.

What ATI card does it compare to in the power department?

I recommend cards for there price/ performance. Lower heat and power consumption does not play games better. If you want a slower, lower power card, for more money, buy a 5850.

And right now the gtx465 and 470 are best bang for your buck.

Go to CVS, Walgreens etc etc and buy a pre-paid visa card for use over the internet.

Should cost you either $4.95 or 9.95 (forgot which) and you can use it to buy over the net.

Even after paying $9.95 you will still be saving a LOT of money.

Just get the total of the order via egg and then buy a card with that amount on it and you are good to go.

Perhaps you should mention how much you are paying for each card.
Bestbuy sells the 5770 for like $200 so it's not really a good deal at that price if the 465 is close. Then again they tend to gouge so I'd expect the 465 would be pretty pricy as well.
At normal prices the 5770 is the better value slower card. At 150 it actually offers the same performance per dollar as the GTX 460 768 at 200 so it's not really a bad deal at all.

465 is $299 at BB.

In that case you are giving bad recommendations by not taking all factors into consideration, just those that fit your agenda.

Especially when it's going into an HP case that probably isn't designed to cool something that puts out that much heat.

Paying $200 + tax for a 5770 is throwing your money away. Ask a parent, friend someone to use a CC and get one for 60-70 bucks less SHIPPED. Hell I would get the $90 4870 on slickdeals front page right now.

200 is a joke...
