Are you sure you are using the same settings (game and card) and game resolution?

If you went from 1024x768 to 16x10, or now have 4xAA turned on, etc. that would explain this.

If you had "gamma correction" (= extra brightness) turned on in the game or in the Catalyst control panel and that setting was lost it would explain the darker screen.

It sounds like the card was possibly dying, and then finally died. Test a spare card, or perhaps borrow one from your friend.

Well, then something else failed. Next candidate would be the RAM, and then the next likely candidate is the motherboard.

You should test each stick of RAM in each slot. If you have spare RAM then test it.

If there is a pattern to the beeps then that means the mobo is giving you an error code; consult the manual to see what it means. There might also be a display or LEDs on the board that gives error codes, look for it.

If it's a single beep, like normal, then it's supposed to mean the board is booting properly. Verify all power connections and check the board thoroughly.

it seems to follow a 1 second beep on boot up, then 1 second on silence, then almost a 2 second beep then silence, rinse and repeat that order, i will go check the manual if i can find XD, i did not notice any LEDs when i was looking, ok going look for manual and will double check the LEDs and the beeping pattern

1 short beep and 1 long beepMemory problem, this is what i found I am assuming that this is meaning bad ram? what are the chances that all 4 sticks of ram went bad if im reading this right?

also in my other research I am reading and its saying to remove and reseat several things, and if the beeping were to stop that is likely the case, i thought i was bad to remove and reseat stuff with the comp on, is it safe to do this while the comp is powered on?

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Don't reseat with the system on. Turn it off, always, and ground yourself to get rid of static electricity.

After you take out the RAM are you resetting the CMOS of your mobo? Sometimes that's necessary to get it to reboot.
I think it's really unlikely for all 4 sticks of your RAM to be bad. At least one of them should boot up as long as the mobo is still working. Make sure you're putting the stick into the right slot though since some mobos are sensitive about the position you put them in when all slots aren't used.

If you have two or four ram chips you can take all of them out except one and test. If it still has a problem swap that ram chip out with your other one and see if you still have the problem. Chances are one ram chip is bad but not all. I would do this before you find out your ram isnt the problem.

As for your 5770 I have the same card and run wow in 5760x1080 pretty smooth. I defiantly know the card can handle it.
