I have two identical computers (Core 2 Duo E6600, 4 GB DDR-2, originally Windows XP Professional but upgrading to Windows 7 Ultimate). I also have a Radeon HD 5670 512 MB and a GeForce 9800 GT 512 MB. Which is the better card for gaming? I've read that the 9800 GT benches higher, but the HD 5670 is compatible with newer software (i.e. DirectX 11). Does that give the HD 5670 the advantage, or should I just stick with faster 9800 GT?

Also, will a power supply of 375 W get in the way the 9800 GT's performance?

I was expecting to get an old computer from my dad's office as they got new ones, so I bought the 5670 for that. Unexpectedly, he was able to bring home two computers, one of which had the 9800 GT already in it.

No, I don't play WOW (I don't play MMOs in general, but I may play Star Wars: The Old Republic once that comes out). I play games like Mass Effect 1&2, Dragon Age: Origins, and Empire: Total War.

Performance could depend on the game being played, since the two video cards are close to one another, but the 9800GT is generally faster. However with a stock E6600 you probably won't notice a difference, unless one card has some kind of problem running a certain game. 5670 uses less power, so it might fare better in OEM cases and power supplies, and is what I suggest you use if you already have it.
