How is this card compared to the newer cards HD 4650, 4670, 4850 for just processing videos (regular and HD) and Blu ray? Plus I do pictures but no gaming. Are the newer cards overkill or will it be better to get it and do away with the 2600? I can't find what is better than what especially with all of the newer cards out there. If there is an article that links all of the cards together, I would appreciate a link. Thanks
 
For HD decoding all of those will be more than enough. With decoding there's not like FPS gains with a better card like you see with video games. It either works or it doesn't, and it works fine on all of those cards.
 
It will do all the decoding, but not surround PCM over HDMI.

For lossless audio, you need a 4-series card (4550 will be fine).
