Radeon goes blank over and over and over

Just bought the AIW X800 XT and put it in my home computer and put the old AIW 7500 in my office PC. I've updated to latest 4-in-1 drivers and newest Radeon AIW driver but my screen goes blank every now and then and will sometimes crash the box with the 7500. The very latest driver actually causes the screen to blink off so much that it is off more than it is on. Should I just use origianl driver? I tried disabling onboard sound but that didn't help. This is driving me nuts...
