8601.6 GFLOPS x (1/16)= 537.6 GFLOPS

Meh. I'm hoping they go back to 1/4 like the pre-290X days. I doubt it. But I'm hoping.

8601.6 GFLOPS x (1/4)= 2150.4 GFLOPS, now that sounds MUCH better. ;)

I guess if it was 1/4 they would be making that known, loud and proud.

Actually the 290X is a 1/8 part, and if FURY X were 1/8 it would begin to surpass the 280X (which is 1/4).

8601.6 GFLOPS x (1/8)= 1075.2 GFLOPS

Anandtech's article today on the 300 series has a chart showing the Fury line to be FP64 1/16.

Forgive my ignorance, but is FP64 another term for double precision?

If so, 1/16 it is, and that is pathetic for such a high end card, IMO.

Tom's released their review yesterday, Anandtech is obviously doing a more in depth review...or dragging their feet. The latest cell phone review is likely more important.

For 4K, it's a worthy opponent to the latest Ti card from Nvidia, sort of disappointing below that resolution. Very disappointed that they didn't make the double precision more than 1/16.

My $150 used 280X's still rule the double precision world!!! Muwahahahaha!
