Can't seem to find the prior post about a refresh rate problem with this card and trinitron tubes.

I'm running 1280x1024 and my monitor seems to be locked at 85hz whether I choose 100hz or optimal. (Both the monitor and this card can do over 100hz.)

Something else seems wrong... I can swear there's some sort of flicker every now and again as well.

I'm using the bnc input if that matters. Does anyone have a solution or a link to a discussion on this issue, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hmmm...might be the "shimmering" effect...and what OS are you running?

The refresh rate is determined by your monitor .inf file. However there is a utility called HZTOOL which allows you to configure any rate you want. This is nice if you want to use in between rates that your video card supports but your current monitor .inf file does not.

Get it here:

I'm using this utility to run my Viewsonic PF795 at 100mzh 1024 x 795.

Good luck !

The option to choose 100hz is on the adapter page. Are you saying that it won't sync to that setting because the inf file doesnt have that value listed? I did download the latest from inf file from viewsonic...

I could have sworn I read earlier in this forum about a problem with the trinitron tubes and the Radeon, one which might also be creating my perceived flicker?

Any help would be appreciated...
