any advice? i dont want to use too much cash, so
i was considering the Radeon DDR VE or LE and
nVidia Geforce 2 MX.

The Radeons seem to be tested faster under win 98,
but i run win2k. i read in this article:

http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i=1422&p=1

that drivers in win2k for radeons suck (as of Feb
2001) and there is a big performance drop.

Has anyone heard if ATI has fixed the problems? i
know that their latest driver revision was earlier
this month, but i dont know much else.

any advice on what to get? Thank alot!!

Despite the win2k prob a Radeon LE with Hyper z activated is a much better buy than a Gf2 MX! Out of those I'd get the LE!

while the win2k problem is still there, its not nearly as apparent as it once was. You'll feel a slight performance hit, but even so, it should still run faster then a Geforce2 mx, especially in 32bit mode

As of July 23 there is no performance gap between radeon in win2k and radeon in win98.

Get the RADEON

I would get the Radeon LE and flash it to full radeon...MUCH better value than MX.

Btw, if you get a LE w/TV Out...when you flash it, you lose the TV-Out

I'll take Radeon LE, using a Radeon right now and the 2D is much better than my MSI Geforce2 mx :)
