I have a Radeon 7500 coming today to replace my Radeon LE (hacked and flashed, of course). My LE scores ~2500 3dmark2K1, so I will let you know how the 7500 does.

On my system: Q3 demo1 1024x768 32bit HQ sound on, all sliders max.
Radeon 32mb 79fps
Radeon 7500 127fps

3DMark2001
Radeon 32mb 3480
Radeon 7500 5380

Radeon 32mb 183/183
Radeon 7500 306/280

On your system figure about 115fps for Q3 numbers, and a high of about 4800 for 3DMark2001
Do not buy the 8500 with a pc133 under 1.4gig system. I had an 8500 with my old system which was an epox E8KTA3, 512mb pc133, 1.4gig@ 10x145MHz/1450MHz . The numbers I got with the 8500 were very dissapointing when compared to a DDR/Rambus based system like all the reveiwers use, and coupled with a 1.8-2.0gig CPU.

Q3 demo1 I got 137fps, 3DMark2001 was around 7700 marks. And at that time with the 7500 I got 118fps in Q3 and 3DMark2001 was around 4900 marks on the same sytem. I decided to get rid of the 8500 and buy a DDR based upgrade with the money. A very smart move. The Ati 7500 for well under $100 is by far one of the best buys on the market and is being overlooked.

I either have a crappy card, or I have just about hit the wall with my system

Radeon 7500= ~3200

The Radeon 7500 is significantly faster than a Radeon 32 MB DDR. You'll see a massive difference.
