Radeon Choice: 8500 64meg retail vs 8500Le 128meg retail

I have a choice of either a Radeon 8500 64meg or Radeon 8500LE 128meg.

Both are retail built by ATI.

Pro's and Con's

The radeon 8500 is faster but less ram (and older non tsop) comes with dual display and Counterstrike.

The Radeon 8500LE is a bit slower but both are overclockable to about 300/300 and the LE has newer TSOP ram.

The radeon 8500 64 meg is also 20USD cheaper.

Which one should i go for?

EDIT: I should add I do not mind overclocking the cards

64MB is sufficient for most applications. However, 128MB is more future proof. If you don't mind overclocking, the LE is especially good. It sounds to me look the pros outweigh the cons for the 128MB LE. I have the retail version, and do not regret it, but the 128MB LE version wasn't out when I bought it. =\

128mb is not futureproof

in fact, ut2k3 is already using more than 128mb of textures

so get the 128mb card, and overclock it!!!!!!!

While I would agree the 128mb does have more 3d potential is has no DVI nor dual monitor support.

Thanks for the suggestions though.

Get the 128 MB card otherwise you'll kick yourself when you see your newer games stuttering like mad when they perform texture swaps.

well, if u need DVI-out or dual monitor support, then you have no choice but to go w/ the 64MB retail, or pay more for a 128MB retail card.

if u don't "need" DVI or dual monitor, then grab the 128MB LE and o/c it...
