//edit: PROBLEM SOLVED, BAD CARD
I just got a radeon 64 MB DDR vivo, installed it, and things went to crud
In quake 3, return to wolfenstein, and mechwarrior 4 it will take under 3 minuites for the game to crash, I have tried it with a 120 MM blowing on the card with no improvement, I have SP2, DX8, the latest Radeon drivers,
I did have my AGP arpature size set to 128 MB and it would not allow me into MW4 at all, I set it down to 64 and it would let me in and THEN freeze
when it freezes, the ingame sound is put into a loop, winamp continues playing whatever MP3 it was playing, and the vid freezes completely, ctrl+alt+del no workie, but my shared files can be accesed normally
Supermicro P6DGE (Intel 440GX chipset, no SCSI, 2x AGP)
dual P3 1 Ghz
1 GB RAM (Crucial PC133 cas 2, running at 100 Mhz cas 2)
aopen 325 nic, realtek 8139 based
aopen aw744 soundcard
only things sharing an IRQ is my NIC and soundcard, and they worked fine with the old vid card
anyone know of any good reason why it would not work right?
