I see different companies are clockin the cards differently, I thought the tyan looked cool plus good sinks but underclock memory, PowerColor got cheap chip's (?), and some are made on 4-layer pcb vs. 6 i.e. the "lite" version(i think). So what's best? ATI? Sapphire? do only the pro's have the good Samsung memory to overclock? ..::.. as with any R9X00 card by any company, even if they're underclocked can't you just flash the bios with another to fix it, or is it a memory thing stoping the performance as with the voltage level handicap. Which card is best for oc'ing to pro levels?

Which card are you looking to get? A lot of manufacturers have specific models that are underclocked, as you have found. Getting a pro doesn't guarentee you'll get samsung ram on your card. You often can't fix the problem with a bios flash and overclock either, because the ram they put on them is already pretty much maxed out and won't go any higher.
