Anyone else have a problem with their Radeon cards being to dim in games? I checked ATI's site and they do mention that people have a problem with quake III being to dark. But the fix they have is a in game fix and not a way to make all games brighter. I know there is a gamma control for games but that makes everything brighter not just the brightness setting. The contrast in games is fine, so I just need way to adjust brightness for games. I can always adjust my monitor but when I do that my desktop is to bright when I am done with my game.

No not at all, acually its brighter and more crisp then my nvidia card use to be, this sounds like it just has something to do with monitor your using.

Oh well maybe I just need turn light on in my room so everything doesn't look so bright :)
BTW it is like this on 3 monitors I tried, I built a system for friend and his was same for me.

Just use powerstrip and you can adjust your gamma on the fly - a la - dare I say it - like nvidia drivers. :)

There is a game gamma control but it doesn't always work and when it does, it washes out the colours. A better alternative is to use something like RivaTuner or PowerStrip as they correctly adjust the gamma levels.

The whole gamma issue is quite complicated and depends on the type of game you're playing.

RivaTuner let me adjust the brightness and works great. So now I can hotkey my brightness before I go in game.
I've used it before but I guess I should've looked through it better, thanks for all the replies :)
