RADEON AND WIN2K STABILITY?

hey guys.

i got a radeon 64DDR VIVO running in win2k and directx8. i have the newest recomended drivers by ATI but im not completely happy w/ me stability. especially in alice. i get random locks, more frequently in alice, but also in quake3a and UT.

ive got an MSI-694d PRO w/ the most recent award bios. it has some video fast write and memory shadowing options that i havent touched yet. and i know there are alternate display drivers (some beta ones) out there.

im just looking for suggestions on what i can do to up my video stability.. or better yet.. if someone has a similar set up to mine and theres is stable, im looking for a details description of their set up (including bios options).
thanx. i really appreciate and infromation.

I haven't made the jump to Win2k yet, but I hear the new "special purpose" 5.13.3100 drivers are the best ones.

my sblive xgamer (not 5.1) is in the top slot, just below the agp.
i have the most recent drivers.. odd that you should mention that. my sound in UT intrermitently craps out.. its the only place ive been experiencing any problems. is that related to this, if you know.. or is that a seperate problem?
