I'm trying to see how many people actually having problems with overclocking CPU where radeon starts showing problems such like BSOD's or VPU recovery errors on VIA chipset.

mine goes as far as 278 before i start seing problems in games and 3dmark03 cpu test hangs

some people have problems above 250

You're about where most people are. It appears that the graphics frequency locks peter out on the VIA chipsets-often right about where you have oc'd to. My system likes to have the lock (AGP in my case) set at 74 MHz, or to 8:2:1 which yields 74 at high HTT settings. I have a 9800 Pro OC'd to XT+ speeds. Slowing down the vid card didn't help me, but messing with the AGP lock settings did.

If i purchase to a midrange video card.. which one would work without the problem of hard locks over certain HTT.. would it be a non ati?
