My system specs are in my signature
i just got a new radeon aiw and since i've installed it, my dvds don't playback properly anymore
i have a hollywood+ decoder card and the picture plays but its a little scrambled and offset. I tried the auto calibration and the manual calibration to no avail. If anyone has ever had this problem, please help
thanks :)

This might be a dumb question, but if you have an AIW Radeon, why are you using the Hollywood decoder? Isn't the AIW decoder just as good?

I'm having a prob with my AIW Radeon and I'm hoping somebody can help me fix it before I have to reinstall EVERYTHING. It was working fine, and I can't figure out why it started, but lately the audio and video get out of sync on while viewing the TV. Then the video freezes, and I can't shut down the TV Player. Eventually I get a BSOD, and have to reboot. Have you seen anything like that before?

I think MDay was just saying to uninstall all the ATI stuff and then reinstall the latest versions of everything. I would remove the Hollywood decoder card because the AIW is supposed to have enhanced hardware DVD playback or some such thing. I think the two hardware devices are conflicting. Also, definitely download all the latest drivers and utilities from ATI (DVD player and multimedia center). I had some DVD issues with the Rage Fury Pro VIVO I recently put into a client's computer and I had to download and install the latest stuff to eliminate the problem. BTW, I also needed to download and install DirectX 8.0A.

not a dumb question at all :)
you have a good point
main reason i wanted to use the hollywood decoder card is because i have a remote control which i use with it. lets me watch movies from my bed :)
but if worse comes to worse, i suppose i could do without the remote and just use the radeon's decoder hardware
