Radeon 9xxx / pro mod into FireGL X1 ?

Like the old GeForce2 to Quadro2 hack... Anyone ever heard of turning a Radeon 9xxx / pro card into a FireGL X1? or has anyone attempted this mod? Is it even possible?

What makes me mad is that the cards seems to be identical hardware wise, but yet ATi can add a second DVI IC to the Professional version with same hardware as the consumer bred card. Turn around and still not offer A second DVI IC to their flagship 9700 and 9800. They really boggle my mind with their decisions.

Found the page... Now I'll have to figure out if I have the nads to do it...

You don't need to modify your card to do it. RivaTuner can turn your card into a FireGL via a software patch. Go here to read up on it.
