Radeon 9800xt Pro heatsink?

Where could one buy a Radeon 9800xt Pr0 heatsink? I can get a retail Radeon 9700 pro for $279, so I thought putting the 9800xt heatisnk w/fan would make it quieter and cooler when overclocking? Anyone know of any similar heatsinks if this isn't possible. Thanks.

if you look at it... they moved all the big capacitors out of the way for the 9800xt heatsink... i dont think that will fit the 9700... oh and thats pretty expensive for the 9700... try this if you can find it in stock. 🙂

hmm does this artic cooling vga silencer take up an extra pci slot? I have a Shuttle small form factor computer and the PCI Slot is used by an audio card so...if it doesn't fit, I can't use it! 🙁.

yep it does... 🙁 i honestly dont know any other smaller profile cooler for a 9700... the vantec is small but it also sucks. 🙁

The Arctic Cooling VGA Silencer uses an extra PCI slot through which it discharges heated air from the video card outside of the computer.

SVC is the only North American distributor and they have been out of stock on this item for the past 2 weeks.

I basically just need a passively cooled video card thats faster than my Leadtek Geforce4 Ti4200 & DX9 compatible, but passively cooled. Any recommendations? 🙂

I think that's gonna be a tough call since the faster vid cards run hot.

The Zalman heatpipe VGA cooler is a passive cooler for advanced vid cards. I'm not sure tho if it also requires an extra PCI slot, probably does not.

EDIT: I checked the passive Zalman out. IT does also take up an extra PCI slot.
