Radeon 9800PRO Issues - AGP Not Working

Ever since I bought this card I've been reasonably satisfied. However, I downloaded 3DMark05 and after it crashed and gave me an error, I investigated my settings. What I found in DxDiag was that "AGP Texture Acceleration" was "not available." Then I checked the settings through right-clicking the desktop and properties. The SMARTGART revealed that AGP was OFF and that Fast Writes, while available, was also OFF. I can't turn them on either. I've tried almost everything to fix this issue from installing the newest drivers, uninstalling old drivers, using Safe Mode, using Driver Cleaner, everything short of installing SP2, which I'd rather not do (please don't post about the advantages of this).

Here is the system information reported by 3DMark05

Notice that it can't detect the speed the AGP is set at. Thanks in advance for all your help. Oh, my PSU is 350W just in case people thought I don't have enough juice.

You don't mention your BIOS at all. Did start up your BIOS config and check out your AGP settings?

Make sure the AGP Aperture size is greater than 32MB or AGP Texturing is turned off.

Bios settings are set to aperature 128 and 4x.

However, I grabbed my original mobo CD and installed the Intel Chipset thing, and it seems to be working correctly now. I'll see if the tests work now.

Reinstalling the mobo chipset drivers is the usual cure for this.

ATI's smartgart seems to turn AGP off sometimes when you install it.
