I've been having problems with a new 9800 pro I just got (ATI just replaced a broke 9700 pro that I sent in).
After Windows starts, even in the first few seconds, the VPU crashes and the VPU recover box comes up, blah blah blah. I don't think it's heat, cuz it would also crash while I had a freakin boxfan right next to my open case. Here's my specs:
Biostar M7VIW motherboard
Athlon XP 2400+
256MB sdram
300w PSU
SB Audigy
40GB harddrive
1 exhaust fan, 1 cpu fan (and the card fan when it's installed)
Windows XP
Tried with fast writes off, 3 versions of the Catalyst drivers (including latest and 3.9). Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
