My parents just recently bought a TFT moniter (Iiyama ProLite E434S-B) as they are getting a new computer next week and my computer is being moved into my room. Anyway i decided to take advantage of the fact i now had 2 moniters and one system (mines an Iiyama VM Pro 451). I downloaded and installed Hydravision (latest version) and upgraded to the cat 4.10 (the gfx card is a 128mb Crucial R9800 Pro). The main thing i want to be able to do is have mirc/winamp/firefox displayed on one moniter (the VM Pro) and play games on the TFT. I thought i had set it up to do this put keep getting errors. POP2 demo doesnt reckon i have any video memory, Rome:TW gives the following error: click for picture and Madden 2005 doesnt reckon i have any D3D devices in my system. Any help would be great appriciated, even if its to be told i cant have one moniter showing the game im playing and the other windows.

Does it work if you disable the second monitor (go into Control Panels/Display/Settings and uncheck "Extend my desktop onto this display")? I've seen a few games that just won't work at all with the second monitor enabled, although most are OK unless you actually click on something on the other screen (ie, doing something that causes the fullscreen app to lose focus). Haven't tried any of those games, though. But if it won't work even with the second monitor disabled, then something else is wrong; you might try reinstalling DirectX and/or your video drivers.

Also, you don't necessarily need Hydravision installed or running to have dual monitors. It just adds some extra features.

mine worked with no problems whatsoever, I have a 9700 pro, but i can't see it making a difference

I have no special programs running, just normal ATI dual display. only thing is in CS, sometimes my mouse gets off of one monitor and i click off the game, i gotta find a way to fix that
