I'm getting the same thing on mine, I just bought it.
Using the 3.5 drivers, tried all the others as well.
The sysmptoms only go away when I underclock.

Wow! So many configurations without positive results. Hmmm. Hang in there niteshadw. Try this config. Go into your BIOS and see if your video cache is enabled. If so, disable it. If you have a UC and USWC option, choose UC. If your graphics are still corrupt, uninstall your video drivers and the use driver cleaner to unistall the remaining files. Also uninstall your AGP drivers and get the latest AGP drivers from your motherboard's website. I don't remember if you've already stated that your BIOS is updated along with your motherboard drivers. If not, update everything. After all this is done and you still have graphic corruption, it may be best to do a format. I hate to even mention a format because so many people depend on formatting even for the most simple of problems. But sometimes it is necessary. Darn it! You should not have to format your whole system just for a video card!

I've talked to people that have underclocked their cards and they have met success. Your card should work at normal clock speeds though. Mine is working normally. I would try BillyJak's suggestion as well. You can easily underclock your card if you install the Omega Catalyst drivers. The option will be located with the rest of the ATI tabs that were mentioned in previous post. Please do not go overboard with over or under clocking. Underclock in small increments if you decide to try that option.

Take care niteshadw,

I'm going to say a small prayer. 🙂

I just got this card. It is working fine in Morrowind, Generals and NWN. I have Windows XP SP1 and the cat 3.5 drivers. Could it be certain games? When I had my voodoo 5 it had "texture tears" like the screenshot of the basketball game but only in certain games.

Also, don't you ATI owners thing it is pathetic that you might have to underclock the best card on the market just to get it to run? If mine starts happening I won't underclock a bit, it should work flawlessly at default settings and should actually overclock well with the 2.8ns memory.

I am sorry you are having problems niteshadw, keep us updated.

I had issues with the card when I put the system together - had yellow vertical stripes going down my screen, so I RMA the card and they returned it saying that they have checked the card but found no problems but restored it to factory settings. It works fine now, but only in the game mode it has issues. Could it be windows? I have windows xp pro with sp1.
I would RMA again and insist they replace it. This sounds incredibly like a faulty card. Now, if the card itself is replaced and you still have the issue, I'd start looking at other parts of the system (Motherboard, RAM, etc.).

chsh1ca and Fluxcap have a very good point.

I spoke with some friends of mine about your video issues and we've all come to the agreement that you may have a bad card. I wasn't sure before because I've seen this problem rectified on other 9800 Pros but you've done so much and you are still seeing graphic corruption. One friend mentioned that you may have a bad pipeline. That is quite possible. I agree with chsh1ca and Fluxcap. RMA the card and make them replace it. You should not have to underclock your card for it to work properly. Radeon cards do have a few issues with some motherboards but yours shouldn't be an issue.

RMAing and waiting for your product to return sucks but, it's probably for the best.

For those that are interested, the Omega Cats based on the 3.5's have been released. Omega is very cool.
