Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB or 256MB?

I plan to upgrade my card so I can play HL2/Doom3 with all the eye candy on.

128MB or 256MB?

Note: I'm going to pick up the new 256-bit version for EITHER card.

128, if your going to get a 256 card you might as well get a card that cna actually use it well (aka, Geforce 6,X800). THe 9800 series aren't fast enough to fully use the extra memory.

No, the 128bit is the "new" scam one. All 9800 pros are really 256 bit or they are fakes.

128MB offers the best value on the 9800 line. 256MB is only really nec'y in newer games at 12x9+ with AA, and only the GF 6 and Radeon X series are fast enough to be playable at those settings.
