Radeon 9800 non pro Mod questions

I ordered my Dimension 4600 with a 9800 non pro what is the sucess rate of overclocking this card to pro performance and also would you suggest doing this by softmods or flashing the bios

open the case and look to see if the card has samsung ram, if it does, it can be flashed to a 9800 Pro

no softmod usually only works if it is samsung ram

if it isnt samsung ram you can download powerstrip and see how far you can push it

I got 3.3 ns Samsung on my 9800 NP from Dell. Flashed to pro fine.

yup, i think most all sumsung cards will flash without a problem

there are no mods needed as the 9800 Non pro is just a lower clocked 9800pro.

If you get Samsung then you can overclock the mem more,but if you have infineon the best mem you can expect is about 320mhz so no bios flashing to 9800pro speeds but you can still OC the core nicely.
