hi,
i just got a 9800 NP and installed the 3.9 cats on my XP Pro, SP1 machine. Problem:
I want to run 1024x768 resolution at 85hz.
Everytime when i switch (in Win Display properties) between two resolutions, like 1280x1024 <-> 1024x768 the refresh rate i set back to a wrong value, like 60hz. (Even after i set it to 85hz before)
Eg: I want to set my 1024x768 to 85hz, i go to display properties, choose this resolution, then i got to display properties -> monitor, i set it to 85hz. Apply/OK.
I switch back to another reso..then i switch back to 1024x768....and its again at 60hz or something. (not all the time, but 8 out of 10 times)
Driving me nuts !!!
I could use powerstrip to 'force' the right refresh for a certain reso - but i dont want to since it would be a dirty solution..windows will still think its 60hz. (Probs in games etc.)
I didnt have the problem with my 8500 and older CATs s far as i remember !
greetings
