Radeon 9800 and my 42" HDTV

I have my HDTV and computer hooked up togeather using the DVI output from my Radeom 9800 into the DVI input on the back of my TV. I can only get 640 x 480 resolution, and it will not let me even choose any other video mode. I have the latest Catalyst drivers installed, so does anyone know anything I might try? Thanks in advance.

I haven't tried a DVI straight to a non-computer display, but the DVI to component adapter on my 9800pro worked fine for me.

I don't remember having to do anything special to get it working.

Check out AVSforum too if you don't find any help here.

Force TV detection is for the TV out, not the DVI. As for the DVI you might try the force 720p and force 1080i in the dipslay properties troubleshooting section of the CCC.
