Radeon 9700pro - forces me to reduce overclocking ?

Absolutely not. I've had Prime95 fail on me on overclocked systems after 8 hours or so, telling the tale that the system is not 100 percent stable. Just run it overnight if you can. Usually I will run Prime95 for 24 or more hours straight to make sure it's rock solid, or something should arise.

ok,

I will run Prime95 tonight. Now that I can no longer run the PC at 2.4Ghz at least I can make sure, that there are no issues at 2.3. I will also look into the AGP voltage and keep you posted.

My Bios does not have a AGP voltage control option. I played a bit around with the other bios settings, tried some more conservative ones, but it makes no difference. I think I give up, the 100Mhz isn't worth the hassle.
