First of all - don't smirk at my monitor - i know its crap dating from 1996 and with 14" screen - but i am upgrading soon. Anyway - not sure if this is from my monitor, but if i turn on the computer before i turn on the monitor, i hear an elongated beep and my monitor doesn't start (the bulb remains orange instead of green). When i reset my computer my monitor starts perfectly and there is no beep. tried turning on the monitor first - and there is also no beep and monitor displays correctly.
OK - i know the solution - but can someone tell me why it happens? I just got the radeon 9700 a week ago and it is placed on a p3ighz and a chaintech CT-6AJA4 motherboard (I know i got a HUGE bottleneck [3d score - 7800] but it is enough 4 me and plans are afoot....)
