I currently have a XPC Sb61g2 box with a 3GHZ P4, PCI ISDN modem and a Radeon 9700 Pro in the slots. I've recently tried to play several games...namely Age of Mythology and the sound pops and usually ends up going out. I can still play the game, but no sound. Ironically it will come on for a brief second if I go back to windows during gameplay and switch the speaker setup...weird. This has also been documented by hardocp...

"By far, the only true complaint we had with this system was an issue which surfaced regarding the Realtek audio chipset and the Radeon 9700 Pro used throughout testing. Evidently, Shuttle has documented an issue which only appears when the user is running a Radeon 9500/970 series graphics card. Sound becomes crackled during gameplay, and currently can only be fixed by swapping the graphics card out for another brand/model or installing a PCI sound card. After speaking with Shuttle, we are assured that the issue is a top priority and that a solution is imminent in the near future."
Normally I would remove the ISDN modem and reinstall my audigy, but at the expense of loosing my internet connection. Does anyone know if Shuttle has come out with a fix, solution, workaround..anything? This is pretty annoying. At first I thought it might be because I have the 9700, 1 gig of memory, 2 hdd, and a dvd r drive, but I replaced the isdn modem with the audigy and ran game after game without ANY problems. It's only when I use the onboard, albiet crappy ac97 does my sound go in and out. I've done searches but other than the hardocp comment...nothing. Thanks for any help you can provide.
