I was just curious, will I actually be able to purchase the Radeon 9700 Pro on August 19th?

I think hes just excited about the card but not sure though.

By the way does anyone know when full benchmarks are going to be posted for the card?

I doubt it.I am at quakecon and the there is a 449.99 package with radeon9700 + doomIII and each item will be delivered seperately when available.

Its just I doubt availibility that soon when the 9700 isn't avaible for purchase here at quakecon.

BTW- all the tourney machines are running fire engine red Radeon 9700's 🙂


EDIT: also, one of the tourney players timedemoed and well on an athlon XP and R9700 he got over 300 FPS I think it was 3 humdred seventy something...just a little fyi

I read at HardOCP that it was to be available by Aug. 26th in the US. As far as prices, looking at about 575-600 (Cdn.), but do not know the shipping date for us Canucks up here.

WHOA what settings, if you can turn on AA and AF and test Q3 @ 1600x1200x32 with everything on 😀 For me, cuz when i get the 9700 im so doing that with Q3 😀
