I was looking around for a 9700 pro and the only place it seems to be available is ebay. have they discontinued this card or something? Even ATI does not sell this on their site.

i did manage to find a 9700 all-in-wonder though, but not what i'm looking for...

I just picked one up on the FS forum for $120 shipped. I believe the card is 2 generations old now (don't quote me on that) so that's probably why they are hard to find. Check pricewatch, though. I think there's a bunch on there.

For such an old card, it's clearly one of the best Radeon cards ever made. It beats out nearly every Radeon 9x00 card but the 9800 Pro / XT... which seem to barely squeak by it.

I scored a Radeon 9700 Pro with Artic Silencer Rev3 for $80 shipped on the forums. You can sometimes find good deals.

earthwormjim's vid card is a great deal. And Sniper... that is an awsome deal!

I "upgraded" to a 9800pro from a 9700pro and saw mabye 3-5 fps jump. Then 9700 pro truly is a good card.
